To pursue adaptability in the broadest sense, a large part of the project includes the study of models, methodologies and techniques based on knowledge that enables the development of advanced solutions to provide content and services capable of offering greater performance in terms of existing solutions regarding adaptability, accessibility, flexibility, multi-methodologies and autonomy from the device. We want to adapt the provision of content and services on the basis of different parameters, including:
The SAPI project wants to study the possibility of extending the adaptive capacity of information content, starting with research activities with an approach based on knowledge. New products must be studied and planned for this project, both in relation to content, with semantic enrichment, and services, which require a formal description of the interaction procedures. In this way, we aim to broaden existing studies on intelligent content and on adaptive and intelligent services.
Intelligent services and content can therefore react in a different manner based on the user that interacts (considering his or her profile and abilities) and the interaction context (therein including the access device, the interface channel and the environmental characteristics). To achieve this result, the project includes the definition of models that formally describe the main entities involved in the customisation phase: the user, the context and the domain.
